FLIR M232 + Raymarine Axiom Issues

Postby Johnstroll » Thu Sep 08, 2022 2:53 pm

I have a FLIR M232 and dual Raymarine Axiom+ MFDs. The FLIR doesn't always fire up (especially when I need it at night) but when it does it's fantastic. Software is up to date on all products, so not clear what is going on. Has anyone else had this issue?

FLIR M232 + Raymarine Axiom Issues

I have a M232 running on Lighthouse II and notice sometimes if I power the MFD and the camera at the same time, it doesn't startup or takes a long time to "cook",

My unit is wired directly to a power tap and initializes when I flip the battery switch on (with the MFD off). When it gets power, the eyeball goes to the HOME position (forward). If I don't initialize the MFD, after a few minutes it goes back to the PARK position. At this point, once I start the MFD and the boot sequence completes, I can activate the camera and get an image consistently.
