Newbie

Well congrats on the boat! You know you can't get away once you have salt in your veins! Where in the N/E are you? As far as an engine, I have inboards so I have no experience picking out a new engine. I would say you can not go wrong with Yamaha, but just the other day while working on my boat I wa...

After owning our 3000 express since 2003, we decided that the sink behind the helm seat was not needed. In all these years we only use it for storage. So after talking about it, it had to go! Before putting the engines back in I removed the water supply lines and the drain line that ran over the sta...

Horn location

Look up in the anchor locker, high up forward on the right side. You should be able to see it looking from the front of the boat.

Hopefully new Pursuit owner

That is a nice boat, good luck with it. There were some Yamaha problems (internal exhaust) up to 2006, 225 hp and maybe some 250s but I am not sure. You can look it up on the net. Also you could probably take the engine s/n and ask a Yamaha dealer if they are included in that problem. 144 hours is n...

Thanks Dan. Hello Bob and congratulations to you! Tell us all about the boat and as Dan says, pictures! We love our 3000. I have done a lot of work on mine and know every inch of her. I have plenty of posts here about all my projects, never ending. Maybe we can meet in Manhattan this summer. Stay ov...

Winterized?

Well all good things have to come to an end, and for us at least this season is now over. I had the boat pulled last Thursday and winterized her on Friday. The yard shrink wrapped her on Monday. Tuesday it rained and then the temp dropped into the 20s! Got her done just in time, normally we are out ...

used 2000 Pursuit 3000 Express w/ Yanmar Diesels

Congrats on the new boat. And diesels to boot. Did you have a hull survey and moisture readings taken? My 30 had to have all the coring under the bow deck replaced. I have had friends that had moisture at the thru hull fittings. I have so many postings on here that you can check for other info. Wind...
