Exhaust Elbow

This spring I had test run my engines on land like I always do and noticed a broken bolt on the starboard turbo/elbow connection. I had to invent a tool that would let me drill out the bolt in the center for an easy out. I used a drill guide from a dowling jig to center the bit, and luckily it worke...

Wiper Blade Replacement? Pursuit 3070 Express - 2003

So I answered my own question. Here's the thing, because the boat is circa 2003 - most car manufacturers don't have this adapter anymore. In Canada - Canadian Tire in the back (not on display but in the service desk) had a pair of these wipers that fit perfectly. Sure they aren't silver metal, they ...

New Member

Congratulations on the new purchase. I have not had any problems with my fuel tanks, but I am crazy about keeping my bilges dry. A problem that has come up on other inboard powered Pursuits is rot by the air intakes on the side of the hull. This is an area that a surveyor needs to hit with a moistur...

any one own a 2460 denali? Looking at one for Great lakes

This is a response to an old thread, but maybe someone will be helped. I have mixed feelings about my 1995 2460 Denali. Is it seaworthy for Lake Erie?, sure. I bought it because I was new to boating, wanted a serious boat for fishing (trolling mainly), and I thought I found it. It was fully equipped...

October Surprise!

This summer I found a soft spot on the foredeck of our boat, and are having it fixed as I write this. The surprise was how big the "soft spot" was. Another surprise is how Pursuit built the boat. Under the skin of the deck a large area of coring was bad. But what really got me was how the ...

raw water pumps on 4BTAs

Things are moving forward on the engines. Had valve jobs on both engines and new after coolers are coming. One thing that has bothered me as long as I have owned this boat is changing the raw water pumps. They are mounted on the left side of the engine under the injection pump. To change them you ha...
