I bought a set of 19x19 dyna quads for my boat this year. It was over-propped with them. I think I hit 4200 max RPM. 3000 Express Rudder Repair
Posted over on THT, too. Dropped the rudders out of my boat to change the shaft seals due to a slow annoying leak. Found some pitting and crevice corrosion where the seal rides on the rudder post. 3000 Express Projects
Another project I'm working on too: Swap to the Johnson crank driven pumps. I have a Hardin SS unit on my port engine, stock mercruiser on starboard. They are such a pain to change impellers. Plus I don't care for the air drain stuff on the stock pump.

3000 Express Rudder Repair
Update on this. Polished the best I could, filled the rest with JB weld and polished smooth. Changed the seals.
I've had no leaks since.

Merc 350 Horizon Fuel Pumps
My engines have the Cool Fuel Gen 3 modules. They are mounted on the starboard side of the engines and of course the starboard pump failed. Changed pumps with Merc parts. New 3000 Express owner
I had a set of 4 blade Dyna-quads on my boat for a very short time last year. They'll drive the bow down more than 3 blades. 19x19 (4 blade) is too much. I think I hit just over 4000 WOT. 19x17 is probably more appropriate. More responsive around the dock though. I've just made it a habit now to bum...
