I think what you have there is a Delta plow anchor,they come in various sizes to suit the weight/windage of the boat - see link.

Have you opened the grey T.A.B.S box under the stairs? Checked the solenoids and connections in there?

There's many variants of these switches, I think this is the one your looking for, stay away from the cheap Chinese versions of these switches, they will fail.
