3000 Express Rudder Repair
Posted over on THT, too. Dropped the rudders out of my boat to change the shaft seals due to a slow annoying leak. Found some pitting and crevice corrosion where the seal rides on the rudder post. TRIM TAB LEAKING DOWN UMDER WAY
Hey all. I had my 1997 2470 WA out over the weekend. It's new to me so I was getting d to it. We were running in 2 ft seas and I ran the trim tabs down to keep the bow in the water and the port tab keeps leaking back up. Not noticing any fluid leaks so I'm guessing its in the block and pump.
