PostFri Jul 10, 2020 10:14 pm 3000 Express water in trough behind and under head and galley sinks It is common for the windshield frame to leak in these boats. When I first got mine in 03 I pulled the rubber strip off and took out each screw one at a time and bedded it down in silicone. I also applied a small bead of silicone at the base of the frame where it meets the fiberglass all the way aro...

PostTue Jul 02, 2019 7:05 am 2460 Denali Cuddy " remodel" Hey all! I'm new to both this forum, and Pursuits in general; so howdy! We just picked up a 2002 2460 Denali - naming her "Paws Button" btw ; And the interior of the cuddy " wall carpet" is a tad stained in spots- and generally ugly. It looks like...17 year old carpet in a fishin...

PostThu Jul 09, 2020 7:06 pm 3000 Express water in trough behind and under head and galley sinks Also check the engine compartment ventilation box, when it rains it sometimes because of poor caulk will leak to engine compartment then foreward to cabin. Clean and re caulk as well

PostThu Jul 09, 2020 7:03 pm 3000 Express water in trough behind and under head and galley sinks I had to re seal the port and starboard portholes as well as the main and two small hatches. Some of their caulking jobs looked like they leaked from day one. As far as draining to bilge ,i dont believe it does nor designed to.

PostMon Nov 02, 2020 7:33 pm 3000 Express Cabin Leak Yes,remove both screws on interior trim bezel. Then you will see 6 or 8 more screws on an aluminum plate. Remove them as well. From outside soak paper towels with paint thinner, wrap them around porthole to weaken caulking . Pry away gently with paint scrapers.

PostSun Nov 15, 2020 4:39 pm 3000 Express Cabin Leak I did get the molding once years ago, I will look up where. I think it is now from Pompanette. If you pull the screws one at a time and bed them in silicone that will do it. If you pull out the molding and then re-install it will stretch back to the right length. As it shrinks I have taken black sil...

PostWed Dec 30, 2020 4:37 pm 2001 Pursuit 3000 Express Ignition Switch If you have the TABS box under the stairs I would start there before messing with the switches on the dash. The large battery switches on the front of the TABS box can (an do) fail in such a way that they can handle small loads but not large ones. The trick to test them is to use automotive jumper c...

I have also made up two wood blocks to support the hatch while i disconnect the actuators, run them down then add the extensions. This gives you so much more room to do work in front of the engin... |

PostFri Jan 22, 2021 4:41 pm Charging issues Well I don’t know if you have check but the ring terminal on the positive alternator wire on my port motor had broken and was no longer connected to the back. Also the wire was very corroded from salt. I would guess unlikely that both are but may be worth looking at

PostMon Feb 01, 2021 4:52 pm Charging issues My one good alternator was trying to charge everything (through the TABS System) while the other alternator was sporadic at best and overcharging at times (voltage regulator). So my one good alternator could only give me about 13.2 volts as it as trying to compensate. And when/if I got the voltage s...

PostSun Mar 07, 2021 2:45 pm 2003 Pursuit 3000 express alternator belt help!!!! I have the same boat but with diesels, a couple of other members have Mercs. One thing we all have in common is the lack of access. I have had to raise the hatch as high as possible, and then use a block and tackle tied overhead to raise it higher after disconnecting from the lift rams. It gives you...

PostThu Apr 29, 2021 7:56 pm 3000 Express Cockpit Rigging Station Faucet I have it out in the shed. I have owned the boat since 2003 (its a 99) and rarely put water in the f/w tank, let alone use the faucet so it should be in great shape. I am not able to work on it until next week, if interested let me know. May take a few days to get back to you.
