Hi all, we just sold our 31 Bertram and are looking at a couple of 2860 Denali’s over the next couple weeks. The two are the same year, 1 has the Mercruiser 7.4 MPI with Bravo 3 and the other has the Volvo KAD300 diesel and duoprop. For our needs gas or diesel is ok. The gas boat has 350 hours and the diesel boat has 2200. Anything know issues or tips or tricks I should know going in. Have owned Mercruiser engines in the past so a little more about them. Volvo diesel, is 2200 hours a lot? Thank you.

I would probably go with the Merc boat. I am a big fan of diesels (have them in my boat) and some would say 2200 hours the engine is not broken in. There are so many maintenance needs on the diesel that if not done could get expensive quickly. Volvos have a reputation as being expensive to repair or get parts. Just my two cents.
