New (to this forum) Pursuit Owner - restored 1994 Center Console

Hey Guys,

I'm Scott and live in Greenwich, CT. 6 or so years ago, I bought a very beaten up 1995 2655 Center Console, and have done "a bit" of work to it.

- All new electronics (had to do the dual Simrads)
- new fuel tanks (jesus, that was expensive, but the old ones were micrometers away from leaking)
- full hull paint job (wife really wanted)
- soft flooring (best money spent, absolutely love it!!)
- full overhaul on the 2009 Yamaha HPDIs, but lets see when they go. 1,500hrs on each

and thats just the big stuff. this has been a labor of "love" or so i have to tell myself. Excited to join this crew and dive in deeper!

While I have considered selling and buying new(er) I absolutely love this deep v hull with tons of walking around and hanging space.

Best,

Scott

Scotty,
Your boat looks awesome—great job. I just joined because I’m considering purchasing a 2655 Express with a bracket. The boat has been on the hard for a while due to a fuel tank leak, so I’d like to hear your lessons learned and your sense of how much work is really involved. I enjoy the challenge of rebuilding boats, but this would be my biggest project yet, and I want to make sure the time and cost are worth it. I’d really appreciate your feedback.

One more thing—what color is your boat, and did you use paint or a coating?

Thanks,
JT

Nice work! I picked up a 1988 2100 CC with expected dock rash and wear. Used Alexseal Sky Blue - roll, no tipping. That system works as advertised. Because of weather constraints, I painted on the low side of the temperature range. I painted in afternoon. By e
