2600 Pursuit

Postby m.koning » Mon Sep 19, 2011 5:03 pm

We are a long time owner of a 2600 Pursuit. We installed a diesel engine with a stern drive many years ago .We recently sold the engine
and stern drive and installed a newer engine with a new drive. The performance now is a high cruise speed at lower rpm.

As I was riding this past Saturday I saw a 2600 on a trailer with a hard top. Well to say the least I was impressed and want to begin a search for such a top. The original top was not long or deep enough to keep a couple of passengers dry in a rain shower. I have been looking for
a aluminum tubular top that would extend deep enough for two people to stay dry and after I saw this fiberglass hard top my interest is
to find what is available with the best option and approx cost.

If a Pursuit owner with a hard top can comment if it is too heavy or too restrictive we will value your comments.
If there is a 2600 owner with a 10 to 12 inch extended top and larger diameter bows to support the top we would also appreciate hearing
your comments.

I have a radar that needs to be installed on the boat and both top option need to support the weight.

Signed MK
