So after looking at couple of 2860 Denali's and 30 express's we decided we went with a 2000 30 Express with Mercruiser 350 Horizons. Survey and seat trial went great and we brought her home yesterday. Now the fun begins. The current props are ok and we hit right in WOT rpm spec with a little vibration. What are you all running for props? Mine are 19X19. Is this the best choice or should I look into a different 3 blade or maybe 4 blades? Or just have the current ones rebalanced and tuned as they are spinning up right? Also any tips or tricks with the engines? They checked out great and aside from doing regular maintenance anything I should be aware of? Thanks

Congratulations, beautiful boat. There are a few owners here that will be happy to help. Some gas powered and at least two with diesels. This is what your boat came with, from the Pursuit webpage :
Michigan Wheel 19 X 19 3-Blade #5 CUP HT
If your boat is hitting RPM I would just take the props and have them balanced and set back like original. Where are you located?

Hey there, I'm in Boston MA. I have used Accutech in the past for props and have had very good results. I'll take them there and see what we come up with.

I had a set of 4 blade Dyna-quads on my boat for a very short time last year. They'll drive the bow down more than 3 blades. 19x19 (4 blade) is too much. I think I hit just over 4000 WOT. 19x17 is probably more appropriate. More responsive around the dock though.

I've just made it a habit now to bump the engines up off idle (~700 rpm) when docking to have better responsiveness.

Currently have 19x18 3 blade, heavy cup. (found a used set locally to replace the 4 blades). They are a bit light and will probably get re-pitched to the standard 19x19 this winter.

2001 w/ 350 Horizons.

I have the same boat. Currently have 19x21 3 blades. I have considered 4 blades as I often need a little to a lot of tab for best speed to get the nose over. I had some vibration when I got mine. Engine alignment was the major culprit but when I replaced transmissions with zf hurths I had to shorten the shafts and one of them was bent .030”. I now have virtually no vibration. Happy to talk about this boat. There are a number of us on here as mark said with these exact boats.

Congrats!
