DC235 2019’ Taking On Water

Postby Bcoons1140 » Sun Aug 27, 2023 7:53 pm

I have a 2019 DC 235. The boat is taking on MASSIVE amounts of water. Almost sunk today on my way home
From Fire Island New York. We’ve been dealing with this for a while. Had our dealer redo ALL OUR thru holes. That didn’t fix it. Today after I got bilges running. And pumped out sinking boat. I had my wife run it while I laid on the ground at the back hatch with my head in it. I saw Watwr POURING in on the port side where all the wires were running through. I’ll see if I can post a video.

DC235 2019’ Taking On Water

Postby Kevin_NC » Mon Oct 02, 2023 3:17 pm

Hi. Any progress on this?

We can anchor or drift all day in our DC235 and not take on water, but if we drive on plane for 10 minutes or so, we will have a lot of water coming out the bilge pump. We put it on the work rack yesterday and filled the hull with water, and no leaking from the thru hulls. I think it may be coming in under the rub rail but am curious what you found.

Did you take a video or even a picture? I am not sure where you mean "the port side where all the wires were running through"
