1999 2860 Denali

I am looking at moving up a size in boats from a 2350WA to a 2860 Denali. It has a single engine 7.4Gi Volvo engine and a Volvo duoprop I/O. Second question is I am trying to figure out why the asking price of most boats far exceeds the NADA Guide book value, or is this simply a sales technique to leave room for negotiation down to the book value? Can anyone provide any information good or bad on these boats? Any feedback is much appreciated and happy boating.

We bought a 2000 2860 last year with twin 4.3's. Great boat. Very well laid out and solid. NADA is not a good indicator of price. What is the asking price of the boat?

I'm also looking at buying a 1999 2860 Denali. Are their any major gotchas to look out for?

I can only add that the techs at the marina where I keep my boat say to avoid Volvo I/Os. And this is a Pursuit dealer.

This is our season on our 2000 2860. No real gotchas yet. Love the boat.
