255 Pursuit OS trailer

Postby Jeep6100 » Wed Jun 17, 2015 3:20 pm

I am in the process of buying the Pursuit 255 and I was wondering if anyone has this boat and what trailer they use. I had read the manual which states they recommend a bunk style trailer. The manual states the rollers may damage the lifting strakes upon launch and retrieval. I have a roller trailer and was going to have the dealer adjust the rollers for the boat. It is a 2006 venture trailer with a decent amount of rollers on it. Will that be ok? Has anyone heard of a roller trailer damaging a hull?

In my experience, all large Fiberglass boats should be on bunks. Bunks distribute weight along their full length while rollers concentrate all along their short 6 inches or so. This puts undue pressure on that spot.

I own the same boat, 2012, my trailer is a bunk style made by Boatwheels.
