C280 Windlass Question

I own a 2015 Pursuit C280 and I don't care for the 8-braid nylon anchor line it came equipped with (I much prefer traditional 3-stand nylon line). As best I can tell (really hard to discern on the side of the mounted unit in the anchor locker), the factory-installed Lewmar Pro-Series windlass is a 1000/H1000 model. According to what I've been able to determine (from the owner's manual and West Marine catalog), this particular model calls for 5/16" G4 HT chain and 9/16" line. Assuming (incorrectly) the boat is equipped with the slightly smaller/less capable 700 model windlass, I purchased a complete new set of ground tackle including 20' of 1/4" G4 HT chain and 300' of 1/2" 3-strand nylon line. My question is, will the Lewmar Pro-Series 1000 windlass work properly with my slightly smaller chain and line...or do I need to spring for the larger chain and line? I'd greatly appreciate any advice/recommendations other Pursuit/windlass owners might have.

Is the anchor line you have "plait"? I have been thinking about switching my 3 stand to it as it is supposed to be heavy when wet and fall easily into the windlass anchor locker. I am curious what you don't like about it.
Re your question, I have the lewmar ProSeries 700 on my 285 OS. I find the manual difficult to follow. You might be best calling Lewmar with your question or to see about ordering a different gypsy.
