1998 Pursuit 2470 WA

Hello,
Well my wife and I are finally making the leap to either a 2470 WA or a GW 232 gulfstream. I saw a great Pursuit that my wife loves! it's a 1998. She really likes the rear door for the dogs. We are primarily moving up in size to do a little island hopping on the weekends so we need a walk around but still want a boat to fish off of. I've only heard great things about the 2470 but was wondering what I should look for when I check this boat out- in other words what are some of the "problem" areas? Thanks guys- I appreciate any help with this.....also anyone know of a surveyor in South Carolina? I'm way up here in Rhode Island!

Hi Johnny,

I am acctually looking at the same 2 boats. I have a very nice gas inboard 27 foot inboard Downeaster which I may sell this summer and am looking at the 2470 and the GW 232. Assuming you bought the 2470, how has it been working out for you ?

I did buy the Pursuit with a 2018 yamaha 250. Extremely happy with the ride. We have a hardtop and it makes all the difference, some folks said it was a "wet" boat but we haven't experienced that at all- in fact I would venture to say its a very dry boat. I do allot of fishing and the Pursuit is set up perfect for fishing. We spend some nights at Block Island- it's a little tight for my wife and I. We would like a little more head room and a bathroom that isn't under the bed. The fit and finish on the pursuit is amazing! I've added radar and new GPS and while running wires I've been really impressed at Pursuits work. My wife would also like the bench seat....I think we would move up to the Pursuit 3070 next, but unless I got an incredible deal on a Boston Whaler (with a Yamaha) or a great deal on a Grady White I will definitely stick with a Pursuit- Love it!
