I have just bought a 1991 Pursuit 28. It does not have a factory installed windlass. Both myself and a boatyard mechanic are having problems where to install. Presently there is not even an anchor roller mounted on the pulpit. The pulpit construction does not seem strong enough to mount windlass without a lot of work. If the windlass is mounted on the pulpit with structural work done there is not enough drop area into the anchor locker. The anchor locker extends all the way back to the cabin bulkhead and I realize it is a no no to mount windlass on anchor locker hatch.
Any pictures of a 1991 Pursuit 28 with a windlass installed would be extremely helpful. I have boated for over 50 years and have installed windlasses on my other boats but this is a challenge. Any help especially pictures would be greatly appreciated.
