Pursuit 3370 Adjustable Dinette Table

I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction for this hunt I have been on for a while. The adjustable dinette table for my 3370 will not hold its position anymore. What I mean by this is that the table is all the way up, or if you put some weight on it (sitting or pushing down hard enough) it will go down but the second you let off of it the table comes back up. I tried tightening the nut for the adjustment handle but that just seems to make the handle harder to operate. Looks like there is an o-ring in the assembly that might need to be replaced? I am hoping that there is another way of fixing this without having to replace the whole pedestal? Anyone with some information or had the same issue and what they did to fix it would be greatly appreciated!
