TABS battery system 2003, 3070

Postby Waverider1963 » Sat Dec 01, 2018 5:56 pm

Maybe this topic has already been covered, but I can’t find it…
I currently own a 2003, 3070 Offshore center console,it is an awesome boat and my third Pursuit. I am a huge Pursuit fan and really have enjoyed their boats for over 20 years, but the total automatic battery system (TABS) in this boat I think is a piece of junk. I am constantly having problems with this electrical switch activated helm parallel Switch.
My question:
Has anyone removed and changed this system completly?
Im thinking about something with beefy mechanical rotating switches (like blue star).
Comments/suggestions appreciated.
Thanks

I'm having issues now, where the output voltage to the helm is 5 to 7 volts, with all batteries input at 12+ volts. What have you done if anything to remedy your situation? I've read both good and bad on these systems.

I have a call into Wells Marine Technology for their input/options on my unit that was OEM on my 2001 2670CC.

Thanks.
