Removing Bomar hatch trim ring help needed

Postby carboncow » Thu Jul 02, 2020 11:34 pm

I'm replacing the headliner in my Pursuit 2460. I'd like to pull the trim ring down for a cleaner look but have no clue how to get this darn plastic trim ring to release. As you can see from the photos it's the ones with the small tabs to hold in the screen.

I've pried and pulled and it's going to break and at $100 for a plastic trim ring I'm hesitant todo and get the right make/model to replace it I did.

Any clue?

Purchased boat for $5K on a trailer with a running (but tired engine). Currently working on new engine, maintenance on outdrive, new vinyl, new canvas, new swim platform and radar arch. Will be in the water by Aug 2020. Let me know what question you have!
