Windlass - 2670 CC

Postby joempoirier » Mon Jul 20, 2020 3:30 pm

Greeting All,

So I'm the happy new owner of a 2002 2670 CC. First thing on the list is to add a windlass. There is a rocker switch on the console, and looks like the big power cables are pre-ran to the bow already as well. I was looking at the Lewmar V700 and just wanted to get opinions from those that are MUCH more educated on this than I am...LOL.

Windlass - 2670 CC

I just bought a lewmar pro fish 700 for my 2460. I think it’s going to be a little more involved not plug and play . Power has to be run from the battery up to that switch with a breaker in between then I have to find where those wires in the anchor locker ended up

Updated , I found all the wires stuffed in the gunwale from the anchor locker back and the engine compartment forward. I pulled out the cup holder and there they were .

I have a GOOD windlass on my 2460 and extremely please.

no need to secure it to the bow- either deployed or while stowed --the windlass holds it.

it is a free fall to quicker to drop-

small company that makes an exceptional item.

Lewmar V700 works well and is easy to install. It makes the anchoring light and make sure to have the bow remotes to lower and lift the anchor off the bow

Just installed it but all tests show this product to be very good and look great on the boat. I will know more next summer when I anchor down for weekend camp outs on the boat.
