Pursuit 2670 CC Performance/Fuel Burn

Postby Tash1 » Sat Apr 03, 2021 11:02 pm

We are looking at a 2001 26’ Pursuit 2670 center console/cuddly with a pair of 200 hp Yamaha’s OX66 and would like some information on your experience with her cruise speed, rpm, of fuel burn. As fuel prices go up, I’m trying to maintain some costs savings regarding fuel burn. Also how do they perform in a tight 2’+ chop as well as her stability on the troll or at drift. I would appreciate any comments you can provide me with on this boat. Thanks.

I just got my 2001 2470 CC in June. It was re-powered in 2014 with twin Yamaha 200s. I live on lake st Clair in Michigan...not sure if you’re familiar with it but we have A LOT of water ways that basically connects to everything, so I go all over the place whether I’m just cruising or fishing. Fuel burn (so far) has been good. The 150 gallon tank helps with that too though. I do troll a lot when I fish and I’ll only use one engine. She does good when doing that as well. Wish I could get it down another .5-.6 mph, but there are some adjustments I can make to bring it down a bit. I only had it for basically half the season last year but I did drive her around quite a bit. Lake St Clair gets really rough at times due to it being a somewhat shallow lake..2 footers plus....she handles it wonderfully. I’ve been on multiple different boats on that lake in the past, big and small, and my 2470 is by far the smoothest I’ve been on yet. I will say I haven’t been on any other center consoles on St. Clair but it’s night and day difference from the cuddy and bow riders of the world. Let me know if there’s anything else I can help with.
