Pursuit 345OS 2014 Fuel issue

Postby PlaceboEffect2023 » Mon Jun 26, 2023 12:15 pm

New owner of a 2014 Pursuit. Having fuel issues related to priming bulbs not filling properly, causes the engine to starve at higher speeds and dies. Then its tough to restart as fuel to engine isn't moving through the bulb (squeezing bulb to try to prime works somewhat). Think there might be cracks in the plastic or clogs in the pickup lines. Anyone else have this issue or can shed any light on it?

Also trying to understand the two-tank, four-valves system. When I got the boat last month, the port tank had both fuel pickup valves open (to both port/starboard engines) and the starboard tank had only starboard valve open. Not sure why. Any negative consequences of having both valves open from both tanks (Pursuit recommends against it). In a perfect world, have S/S and P/P only would be best but that doesn't seems to work well for some reason.

Once both engines failed on Sunday I couldn't even prime them to restart... so got towed in. Not optimal four weeks into the "new" boat.
