Water bubbling up from scuppers

Postby Piggsfeet » Thu Jul 14, 2011 1:19 pm

Hi, I've got a 2000 2470 Denali and every time I turn the live well on, water bubble up from the scupper into the cockpit. Has anyone had this issue or know what the problem is?

Water bubbling up from scuppers

Wow, that's a new one! The water drains out of the top and bottom bait well through a series of PVC pipes that are all inner connected underdeck so maybe the scupper drain outlet is plugged so the bait well water has to have somewhere to go. I would backflush the scupper then make sure it drains well from the deck. You can also put a hose nozzle to the bait well drain and blow it out, it should exit through the outlet hole on the side of the boat. Let us know how it goes, good luck!
