Noticeable gas fumes on my C280

Postby stanC280 » Tue Jul 14, 2026 6:54 am

Just purchased a 2014 C280 in January 2026. Getting a gas fumes emanating from what it appears to be the forward tank when i run it for a period of time. At the dock, no noticeable fumes. Seeing deformation of the plastic tank around the fill fitting where it is attached. Thinking I should reset the fill fitting on the tank with new gaskets and sealing compound. Curious if others have seen this issue and/or their fixes.
Thanks a bunch StanC280
