3400 Offshore water intrusion

Postby Beverlyfarms » Mon May 18, 2020 10:24 am

Hi All. Happy Spring...... in the "new normal". Last October I was coming back to the North Shore from a trip up to Maine coast in my 2000 3400 Offshore and we got into some "sporty" 10' seas. Had green water over the hardtop and leaking thru seams/gaps in the windshield and Isinglass. Even had water dripping out of center wiper motor enclosure, so will have to replace motor, or seals anyway. Port and starboard wiper motors are buried in the bowels, so I will have to check them also and potentially replace shaft seals. My question is around windshield gaps and Isinglass zippers and gaps. What's best approach to stopping water intrusion? - other than staying at the dock in snotty weather....;)

Appreciate insight into any similar projects.
