Express 3000 Exhaust Tip

Postby Charlie » Tue Jun 09, 2020 1:15 pm

Hi All

I am a new owner and member here so please excuse the lack of correct terminology on this item. I purchased a used (fairly beat up) express 3000 that I am putting new power in as we speak. The previous owner must have hit the dock fairly hard and lost the exterior exhaust tip on the starboard side and I have no idea where I would buy and new one to replace? I have included a picture of the port one for reference - any help would be appreciated thanks

PS I live in Vancouver BC Canada

I would start with contacting pursuit. They are very good at responding and may be able to direct you to the part.

Congrats on the purchase. More photos and details on the boat would be great. Maybe a project thread documenting your endeavors :-D. It is a great boat and I am sure you will love it. Wealth of information on here and a number of us that own them as well.

Thanks for the note - yes the Pursuit dealer is looking in his stock but doesn't think he has one, the correct terminology he stated is "exhaust flange". If anyone else knows of an after market one or anyone has spare parts please let me know. I will post some pics of the work soon.

Thanks

Charlie

I bolted these on and connected them to the bonding system, the area where the three bolts are is solid glass, be careful with the front two bolts (or screws if thats how you do it) the exhaust tube is very close on the inside.

I will look around for the originals,I have them somewhere.

Those look great - what I would ask on the technical side is because you used flat stock Stainless as opposed the the tapered original flanges did you find you had any spray from the water hitting the tube when getting on step or running?

Hey Dan

Is the flange about 1-1/2” wide or so? I’m going to get a stainless guy to come and take a template and make a coupe of these up and just needed a good dimension to make a set up thanks!
