is there an online store to buy pursuit parts?

Postby pursuit287 » Tue Nov 01, 2011 6:31 pm

We have had out boat for a couple years now and the environment has started to take it's toll and there are some parts that I want to replace. For example, there is some padding along the side of the cockpit that the sun has deteriated extensively. I would like to replace this with a new one. Also the clamp on the back which holds the ladder has broke. These are easy repairs, I am just having trouble finding a site where I can purchase the parts. Does anyone know of a site that lists any and all of these type of parts?

thanks.

I used a company in Florida called Copy Cat (Google them) for replacing all my cushions and cockpit bolsters last winter. You remove the skins and ship to them and they replicate with new and ship the new skins back to you. (All my foam was in good shape so it could be reused) I got the cockpit bolsters and all the seat cushions with new zippers and snaps for less than $700 for my Denali 2460. They will do individual pieces too. The quality was excellent BUT start early, it took forever to get them back. I sent them down in early Feb and was promised a two week turn around. I finally got them back the end of April. I would send them soon because this is their slow time of year. FYI, I live in CT and I was quoted $2,700 for the same work by a local shop!!!!!

As far as other parts go, call the Pursuit factory and ask to speak to the parts department. They still stock lots of parts even for older boats. If they don't have what you need they will often give you part numbers and put you in direct contact with the manufacturer and you can order them direct. They did this with the engine cover gas struts for my boat and the company sold them to me at wholesale which was less than half of West Marine charged for a similar unit.

Good Luck

I agree about the guys at Pursuit Factory. They have been very helpful in steering me to the places where they bought the parts (if they no longer have them) and even gave me part #'s etc. I have owned several other boats by other Manufacturers and Pursuit is #1 in my book. That's why I went back to a Pursuit. This is my second one, I had a 2150 and now have a 2470 and someday maybe 26 or 28!
