Lewmar Horizon 600 Windlass
I finally pulled the windlass yesterday, pulled it apart today and brought the motor to a alternator/starter rebuilder near my house. I had them pull clutch bearing, get the numbers off the bearing and so I could order a new one.
Once the rebuilder pulled the motor apart he found one of the permanent magnets had separated from the case. He is going to try an re-apoxy the magnet to save the motor.
Anyway the clutch bearing is an INA HF1616 cost is approximately $15.00 shipped and I got it from http://www.mscdirect.com. Now its wait and see if they can repair the motor. If it all goes well I just saved approximately $820.00 for a new windlass.
