1990 2650 - Fuel Tank Replacement

Postby Reelistic2650 » Thu Jan 03, 2019 3:01 pm

Hello - new to the forum and hoping to get some info from those who may have done this previously.

I have a 1990 2650 Cuddy with (2) 115 gallon fuel tanks. Both tanks have leaks and need to be replaced. It looks like the deck will need to be cut in order to access the tanks, as there are no access panels in the deck (other than the fish box).

Would love to hear from anyone who has had this done, any help would be great.

Thanks!

1990 2650 - Fuel Tank Replacement

I was wondering if you started your project? I to have to cut the deck of my 2006 3370. I am fairly confident on fiberglass repair having done a few custom cars but don’t exactly know where to cut the deck for the least amount of work to get the two tanks out.

1990 2650 - Fuel Tank Replacement

hey guys, I had a customer that had to do this. I remember him saying that there was a 1/4 to 3/8 indentation around the deck. I am pretty sure that is where it was cut. You can always contact Pursuit and ask.

1990 2650 - Fuel Tank Replacement

Hi. I’m new here, and just bought a 92 2650. There was a 200 gal fuel tank installed before I bought it and looked like they cut the fish locker and deck out to get it in. Also I just noticed some cracks in the storage compartment in front of the bathroom under the cushion as well as some in the compartment behind the stairs where there’s some thru hulls. Did you end up putting a poly or aluminum tanks in, thanks
