Well I have completely redone my pursuit 2550. The issue I am having is that after the transom was replaced I was noticing it flexing about an 1/8" or so. After a 30 mile run in some 4-6' chop the fiberglass cap that was put over the top of the transom cracked.
I did repower the boat with twin 225 mercury optimax's, which is a little more HP than what its rated for.
So my question is what would be the best way to reinforce the transom for additional HP and eliminate the flex.
My thought is to add a knee support in the corner where the crack started down to the foam filled stringer and maybe another support at each motor location down to the hull.
