transom rod holders and outriggers

Postby aacs1 » Fri Apr 05, 2013 8:17 pm

Thinking of adding transom rod holders and outriggers to 2012 345os. I like the flush mounted rod holders you se on Pursuit web site not sure how to access behind transom for though bolts. Not sure what brand of outriggers work best on this boat. I installed taco grand slam out riggers on my old Intrepid but it had a soft top with mounting plates. Trying to do as much research as possible before drilling holes in a fairly new boat. Any advice would be appreciated.

transom rod holders and outriggers

My 315os came with factory installed E-Tec Sailfish Outriggers. I double rigged them, and like them just fine. They seem a little sturdier than the Tacos. I can run through the slop with them fully extended straight back without any problem.

I can't help you on the transom rod holders. I wanted some, but there was no way I could see to get behind the transom.

Added mine later. Used the perm silicone and screws. Holding up fine even to trolling and tuna hits.

I had my dealer add two additional transom rod holders for a total of three... use them every time i go out so i am glad i did it, wish i can add two more! They were able to add them behind the engines where there was access to through bolt them. This was on the OS325, not sure but should be able to on the OS 345 as well...
