You may want to consider a fuel bladder for longer trips off shore. I recently purchased a 75 gallon bladder for that exact reason and have been very happy with it.

I noticed the center engine burning more fuel than the other two and lagged behind in RPM getting up on plane by a lot.
So, I re-pitched the center prop to 16" from 17" to lighten the load on the center engine. The result was consistent RPM on the up take to plane, comes up on plane at a lower speed but takes a bit longer and burns exactly the same as the other two motors and now gives me an occasional .9 vs .7/.8 MPG.
My plan now is to replace the center prop with a 4-blade LFS 16 to see if that squeaks out any better fuel economy.
The prop is coming this weekend, so I will get it fitted and run some tests and report back.
Stay tuned!

I installed the 4-blade, 16"pitch on the center engine and ran it through the RPM range.
Overall impression is very good.
While I am still not able to get 1MPG, I am getting increased speed at lower RPM and am achieving 29MPH at 3600 RPM with 3 POB and half-full tanks of fuel at .9mpg. This is a considerable improvement.
In addition, it comes up on plane at 12.5 MPH vs 15MPH previously and does so at 3200 rpm - another first.
I believe the 4-blade is pushing more water, adding lift to the transom quicker and not bogging down the center engine so the rpms of that engine are in the range of the other two.
Next, I need to play with engine trim and trim tabs at various settings to see if that will enable me to break the 1.0MPG barrier.
