Head gets mold

I own a C288 year 2020. I don't use the head much however I get what looks like black spots or what I call mold in the bowel of the head and lid. I was wondering if there was anyway to prevent this besides cleaning it weekly. I have left the port window open for air but that hasn't helped. Want to know the cause and hot to prevent
