3000 express cabin height

Postby waggles02673 » Sat Apr 13, 2013 2:54 pm

I was wondering if anyone knew what the head height is in the cabin on a 3000 express? I am 6'2" and just wondering if I can stand up fully or will I have to crouch?

Thanks

Jon

I own a 3000 Express but it is shrink wrapped. Online it is listed as 6'1". But I think it is a few inches taller by the galley area.

Mark

Thanks. I am looking for a 3000 express or a 3070 Offshore. I have been on both but never below deck on the 3000 express, spent many a night in the Canyons on a 3070. Now just need to go and look at a couple in my price range and figure out which one I want.

3000 express cabin height

My express has the Cummins 250 hp diesels in her. The fuel economy is great. I run anywhere from 21-24 kts and my average fuel burn for the year is less then 7 gph total. Not as fast as the outboards I am sure but great economy. If you look at inboards I suggest you go look at a Crusader or Cummins powered boat. There were some water ingestion issues with the Mercruiser engines. I believe sea water came back in through the risers on some so be careful.

Agree with Mark. I just replaced my mercruisers with the crusaders. Love them. Quieter, smoother, and better fuel efficiency.

I'm 6'2" and I can stand in a 3000, up until I approach the fwd berth and then my hair touches. You should be fine.

I am 6-4 and don't have any problems. The amount of time you spend standing up downstairs is minimal. I have never had a problem inside or out with the hardtop. I may be selling 3000 express with newer 5.7L Mag Horizons 2001 in great shape with all records since new I believe. Not sure yet. I am also on Cape Cod.
