anyone re do their floors

anyone re do their floors

I am in need of resurfacing my my wood (vener floor) floor in my cabin on my 30 Offshore, has anyone re done theirs? It looks like just a super light sand job and then some type of wood sealer but far from decided, any info would be helpful

I would do a very light sanding as veneer is really nothing more than a thin layer on top of plywood. Orbital sander would work best IMO with 180 grit.

Then seal it with your choice. Sand with 240 grit in between coats.

I have had the best luck with Bristol finish on all my teak.. looks great and lasts for about 3 to 4 seasons and thats on top side exposed to the weather teak...

Just redid my pursuit 3100 express floors (teak and holly). Ended up using a varnish stripper to get all the old color out then stained and put on 2 coats of poly. Came out great!
