Leak in cabin

I have a 2001 3000 express. There is a leak in the core that is coming through the closet near V berth. This occurs when it rains. I had the engine vents and through hulls removed and sealed with epoxy several years ago because of a leaking core near the dinette. There are no through hulls near the area of the leak. Does anyone have any ideas of where to look? Rub rail or anchor chain locker? Thanks, Paul

I have a 1999 3000 Exp. I had a leak in the cabin that came out of the overhead above the dinette. It was caused by the screws holding in the windshield, under the black rubber trim. I pulled the trim out and every screw one at a time and bedded them down in sealant. leak stopped. Also had a leak from the a/c discharge hose that showed up under the dinette staining the floor. I would check the hatches and port lights to make sure they are bedded down right. Good luck with the hunt.

Thanks, I found it. It was a poorly installed thru-hull in the anchor locker that caused water to enter the core and find it's way into the cabin area. My fiberglass guy has to cut out the glass from the inside and pull out the wet balsa core. I can't believe that Pursuit didn't seal the thru-hulls with epoxy first. This happened to me before with the engine vents.
I have to say that I'm very disappointed in Pursuit.

I have a 2003 express and experiencing similar leak. Rug under sink and rug near Berth wet especially after rain. Small amount of water in the ac compartment found but dry everywhere else. Anchor box dry too. Any thoughts?

One leak I had was the a/c discharge three hull was cracked, and leaked due to wave action mostly. If you have water in the a/c compartment I thing that area is the place to start looking.

we found water coming in at the vents when we took a hose to that area. It trickles down the side from the vent under the fresh water holding tank. Can that make its way to the cabin?

I don't see how it could, it would have the engine room bulkhead in the way. But you never know. Re-seat the fitting and see if that solves the issue.If you take the aft dinette setback off (it pulls out from the wall) there is a panel behind it. Remove that panel and you can see the a/c discharge hose and thru-hull fitting. Check in there.

We removed panel turned the unit on and no leaks noted. We drained the water tank dried around floor under tank and engine reloaded with water and no leaks noted from water tank. We put a hose to the vents and water cane in at seam of vent dropped down side of wall and under the water tank. It appears to flow forward and wondering if that can seep into the cabin???

Even if it is not the leak, it is a leak so do your best to stop it. Hopefully it is the one!
