My current outboard has a 25 inch shaft. I am seeing some nice used engines and some have a 30 inch shaft. Are there any issues with replacing my existing outboard with one with a 30 inch shaft in terms of the boat's performance, safety, etc.?

If you have or have had a Pursuit 2800 (not to be confused with a 2870), I would really like to make your acquaintance.
With all that said... "Permission to come aboard?"

I love the Yamaha line 4 strokes. Need very little attention and are quiet. Ran two on a work boat and they were supper dependable. I currently have twin 200HP and love them
