3000 express helm sink removal

Postby MarkT » Fri Sep 20, 2019 9:01 pm

After owning our 3000 express since 2003, we decided that the sink behind the helm seat was not needed. In all these years we only use it for storage. So after talking about it, it had to go! Before putting the engines back in I removed the water supply lines and the drain line that ran over the starboard engine. This gave me some more head room below at the front of the engines. Last week I cut out the sink and then installed a locking drawer unit above the helm deck refrigerator. Yesterday I made a tray that will go in the spot the sink was in. Overall it gives us much better use of that area. Once the tray is in I will update.
