Great idea. Will the hatch cover close completely with your cooper pipe in place? Does the top of the motor pin get placed inside the cooper pipe?
Thanks,

No will not close with extensions in place. I made these to get better access to the front of the engines. Yes i drilled the copper to accept the pins

Did you come up with a solution? Mine also have the motor on the bottom so I'm not sure how to figure that out.

Mark T - did you find a solution? My actuator motors are also on the bottom.

That's a good idea. I pull the cotter pins and attach a come along (heavy duty seatbelt type strap deal) over the hard top and it cranks up but it's a bit of a PITA to do it without feeling like you might get crushed under that hatch...I love the design of most of this model but there's no doubt that the engine compartment is made for skinny guys as designed!

Take it from a skinny guy it still sucks  I agree worst part of this boat is the engine room!!! But overall love the boat and need to get this mod completed

How does that work? I'm having trouble envisioning the come along setup. Where you attach to the hatch etc. It may be a PIA but it seems better than jamming myself in there again!
