Trying to hook up a 12v cigarette type charger to my helm panel.(2150 Cuddy - 1990) Any suggestions on how to wire to an access switch? Thanx. Not good at reading wiring diagrams, sorry. Thanx Gus

It is very easy to do Gus. Posting a picture of the dash might help. Do you have an empty accessory switch? That type of accessory has two wires. Usually a black and red or white. The black wire needs to go to a ground or "negative" side of the battery. Chances are there is a ground bar near the switch panel. Once you mount the charger you need to run the black wire to ground. Make sure you do not run it to any green wires. They are part of a bonding system.
If you have an empty switch it is most likely wired for power on the supply side. You will want to run the red or white wire from the charger to the switch. You need to include an inline fuse of the required amperage of the charger so the circuit is protected if the switch is not already connected to a circuit breaker or fused.
If you do not have an empty switch you will need to install a switch capable of handling the required current and wire it as above.
