Baitwell Light

Postby GoinSouth » Sun Aug 07, 2011 10:46 pm

My 2470 has a light in the baitwell which is covered by a plexiglass dome. Light sn't working so I need to check the bulb first. However, the plastic dome over it doesn't appear to come off from the top. Anyone know how to get it off? Thanks in advance!

In case some future owner needs an answer to this....I spoke with Pursuit Customer Service...you get to the baitwell light by reaching up through the fuel tank access port in the cockpit. Tight fit, you can't see it but you can reach it blind as long as you don't have monster arms. The light pulls out of the fitting and there is enough wire attached to pull it to the access port so you can see what you are doing. By the way, Pursuit Customer Service is excellent and very friendly. I have called twice and recieved a call back with clear answers within 24 hours each time.

Story of my power boating career although Pursuit said it wasn't even close to what they consider a dumb question! I have another one...can't find my digitial sounder module. Nowhere. Searched access ports, behind the console, taken partitions off in the head area, in the bilge by the pumps. Tried following the wiring from the chartplotter. Have searched everywhere. Well, almost everywhere I guess becasue it is in there somewhere. Anyone else out there who can't find their DSM? Nope. Just me!!! It's a 25' CC boat! How hard can it be?!?!? How about having the hose break off the water pressure gauge inside the console? I notice water dripping down off the console cover ledge. Thought it was trapped rain water but it keeps coming. Open up the console and there's the hose... old and cracked, spraying water over every electrical connection I have in there. Of course none of these have anything to do with Pursuit but with the fact that it is an older boat and I am not the original owner who installed the DSM. Love the boat actually and now that my bait fish can see at night love it even more. :)
