Kevin I am replacing my handles also. I found the other type I have seen on Pursuits that I believe will be better. This is the one:

I installed the top latches yesterday just to see how well they worked before I did the bottoms. I did have to modify them some by cutting off a little 1/4 inch nib sticking out from one end. That lets it close correctly. Going to install the bottoms next time I go out. Vents do not open as far but I don't think they will slam shut or rattle as much either. And I don't have to worry about someone snapping the old style ones off when they close them wrong.

I got them from Great Lakes Skipper. You may find parts at Taylor Made products.
