rebuild of '84 25' CC

Postby old dan » Sun Dec 05, 2010 11:48 pm

Capt Keith asked me about pictures of the work we did to the CC. I did not take many pictures as the work was being done, but will list some of what was done. The boat was a mess, it had sat out uncovered for 19 years in So Florida. To add to the project, I live on a canal that leads to a river that empties into the Atlantic,The Jupiter inlet. But the boat must pass under a very low bridge..less than 3' clearance at high tide.so off came the T top & the front rail, and the center console had to be cut and hinged, now the highest thing on the boat is the steering wheel when going under the bridge at higher tides. The boat was painted inside and out with original colors and also the bottom as the boat is usually kept in the water. All the wires and battery cables were replaced..two used evinrude 1991 175 OB installed and replaced the fuel tank and all hoses. A Bimini top added. The boat performs well..it will get out of the hole on a single engine and cruse easy on one engine . On both engines it pops out and runs an easy 30 mph at 3000 rpm. I'll try to find a picture or two to add, if I can figure out how to do so.
