Bob congrats on the purchase. We love ours. It is a 2000. A number of people with 3000 expresses on here but Mark T is your man with the plan.

I must ask for pictures though!!! You got to show her off!

Thanks Dan. Hello Bob and congratulations to you! Tell us all about the boat and as Dan says, pictures! We love our 3000. I have done a lot of work on mine and know every inch of her. I have plenty of posts here about all my projects, never ending. Maybe we can meet in Manhattan this summer. Stay over at Liberty landing marina? maybe others in the club would be interested?
Getting our first snow on Long Island tonight but I don't think it will be much.

Once uncovered i will finish tv and antenna wiring and antenna install. A good buff and wax. Just finished boot stripe and raised water line one inch. Starboard mtr used fuel 15 percent faster not sure why yet.

There are many variables that determine fuel usage between engines. State of tune, prop condition, tachometer indication etc. You may think they are in sync when they ay be off some since the tacos are not even. Another thing is the marine gear. Not sure what engine/gears you have but on my boat one gear spins opposite the other to obtain forward or reverse motion. So one is actually running in what could be considered reverse. On ZF gears the ratio is different. That usually gives me about a 3 gallon difference between engines after about 10 hours.

Very nice work. Did you paint the boot stripe? What power do you have in the boat?

I am considering a prop pitch change on mine. Do you know what props you have? And what wot and cruise numbers you are getting. I am going to do a full tune this winter but my fuel usage seems to be high. Around .75-.8mpg best I can tell.

Great boat over all and love ours but as always they are a complete work in progress!
