Walleye fishing Lake Erie

Postby Woodworker2001 » Wed May 06, 2020 12:16 pm

We got out this past weekend and man was it fun. Took my 7 year old and 2.5 year old boys and the wife’s dad a friend joined us Sunday. Bite was a little slow on sat but Sunday did not disappoint. Both boys fished for 6 hours on sat without complaining Ran 18 miles to get them but it was fast and furious with doubles triples and quads. At one point we cleared 12 rods without a break of cranking in a fish.

Just an amazing weekend with the family. The boys have been after me all week to go fishing again. I think they are hooked!

Nice, nice, nice. Boats, kids and fish. What a great combination. All you need now is a puppy! LOL. Congrats on a great weekend!

Thanks guys

Mark the little dude was whipped. He fished for about 6 hours. The boat has always put him and his brother to sleep but the oldest is getting better at fighting it. The youngest now walks around saying he is captain evan

Diver it was so relieving to get out of the house and spend time with them. Done the puppy thing and not ready for another dog yes but sometime.

Where were you fishing in the western basin? It's been on fire out there.

I feel your pain. Need to get things going on our boat. I have a few repairs to complete before we get her wet. Both involve glass work and it has been such a late, wet and cold spring that we have had to wait for the weather to break. Planning to get started this weekend!

Notes picture of the great fishing. Ran first official charter of 2020 today and fishing did not disappoint. 30 walleye 2.5 hours and headed home. But muffleheads were out something horrible and fog was aweful but we got’er done
