2500 baitwell ?

2500 baitwell ?

Hello,
I just purchased a 1985 2500 center console with two bait wells in the floor behind the leaning post. These seem to be plumbed to the bottom of the boat. What would have been used for the plumbing of these wells and should I be worried about them breaking and sinking my new pride and joy?

I have a 2550 and the baitwell is plumbed with brass pipe. The 2550 baitwell is actually up on the deck rather than in the deck but would say the same pipe material is in your 2500. There should be a lever style valve in line that you can close or keep open. It's a very sound design.
I hope that helps ease your mind and I'll add I haven't heard of ANY Pursuit going down related to the baitwell.

Thank you for the reply. I was worried that they had used hoses. Since I hadnt heard anything (not even a response from Pursuit) I climbed under the boat and saw those brass fittings. I have every confidence in them.
