Am in the process of making an offer on a 2460 Denali. Will be checking the site to get better educated on the good, the bad and everything in between. Not too many concerns with the boat but will definitely have an engine & out-drive survey done - Merc w/Bravo 3. Anything else that we should specifically take a look at?? Will be looking for a trailer and she will be berthed in Boston Harbor.

Feedback appreciated :flag:

Hi Capt Jim,

I bought a 1996 2460 last winter with the Merc/ Bravo III package from the midwest and had it trucked to CT. Great boat!!

I had the drive pulled and had the bellows and gimbal bearing inspected and the drive pressure tested. I also had a compression check done on the engine. Ask for documentation if the manifolds and risers have been replaced or you might want to figure on replacement right off the bat. Also have the drive inspected for corosion.

I decided to skip the full survey on the hull and got lucky that there were no major problems.

Let me know if I can help in any way

Henry
