3000 express hot water tank leak.

I was changing the coolant and spilled a bit so was cleaning it up when I noticed a pool of water around the hot water tank. I turned the water on in a sink and let it run and I could hear a slow dribble of water coming from either behind or under the HWT. Any ideas of how to fix without replacing tank. To replace the tank I would have to pull the engine. I will likely live with the leak for a while but wonder if anyone else has had this problem and if they have a fix.This has been going on a while because there has been a build up of water on that side of the bilge since I boought the boat. I thought it was rain water coming through the engine vent as we get sideways rain here quite often.

That tank is not an easy area to work on. This spring I plan on taking off the hoses from the engine to the tank that heat the water up under way. Scary to think about that starting to leak. I have looked at mine and thought if I had to pull it I would have to remove my fuel filter from the forward bulkhead and would be able to sneak the tank past that way. If I put one back in I have seen flat tanks that I would use giving more space.

I had to replace the hot water heater in my 3070 , 2 years ago, it rotted out on the top and was leaking water into the bilge. It wasn't a fun job, I had to remove alot of stuff to get to the heater.
