1999 2470CC circuit brkr panel in battery compartment

Postby Plumbob » Sun Mar 25, 2012 2:59 pm

I had a problem with one of my CB in the aft compartment. When I removed the cover there was almmost no slack in the wires and a couple wire terminals broke and a couple pulled off the breakers. Looking at the schematic that came with the boat I see that there are two extra breakers that each have 10Ga red wires on both terminals that are not on the schematic. Also there is a yellow wire that is not on the schematic, but was connected to one of the CB. Doe's anyone have any idea were I could find information on the wiring? Also it was impossible to get the cover back on after I replaced all the circuit breakers, I would have to press too hard on the cover, possibly damaging the connections on the back of the breakers. I am thinking of retrofitting the whole mess with a fuse panel or something like that, but it would be a major project as the wires are very short and there is no play in them, making extending them with splices very difficult.
Has anyone attempted to work on this panel?

Thanks,

Bob
